The TWSBI ECO-T is the faceted version of the ECO, with the same piston-filling mechanism and steel nib, with a triangular grip section that encourages a comfortable hold and an octagonal cap that stops the pen rolling off a desk.
This Saffron edition has a bright saffron-orange faceted demonstrator body, one of the warmer, sunnier colours in the ECO-T range.
Mechanically, the ECO-T uses the same piston-filling system as the rest of the ECO line, generous ink capacity and a steel nib that writes wet and reliably.

TWSBI was launched in 2009 in Taiwan by Ta Shin Precision, a manufacturer with decades of experience producing plastic and metal components for other companies before turning that expertise to fountain pens of its own. The name comes from the Chinese phrase "San Wen Tong" — the Hall of Three Cultures — with the initials reversed to form "TWS" and "BI" added for its meaning of writing instrument.
The brand is best known for its piston-filling demonstrator pens, including the Diamond 580 and the hugely popular ECO. Clear barrels show off the ink and filling mechanism, while a level of build quality usually reserved for far more expensive pens is offered at a genuinely accessible price.
