USA - Delivery Duty Paid (DDP)

Shipping for our customers in the USA is still as easy as before the revocation of the 'de minimis' rule on August 29 2025. 

We now ship all orders to the USA on a DDP basis, which means we cover US customs tariffs and your order should reach you without any customs delay. You won't have to pay any additional fees to US customs to receive your package. 

EU Countries, Norway and Switzerland - Delivery Duty Paid (DDP)

If your delivery address is to any of the 27 EU member states, to Norway or Switzerland, it's just like making a local purchase in that country. Miso Paper web site prices include the local VAT (sales tax) and the local postal service will not request any import or admin fees from the recipient. 

Canada - Delivery Duty Paid (DDP)

Ordering from Canada is now just like making a local purchase. The applicable sales taxes will be included to pay at checkout, once you have provided your  delivery address including provence. The package will then arrive to you directly and you will not be requested to pay any import fees. 

Jersey & Guernsey 

UK VAT will not be applied to your order. Please refer to your local customs authorities for information on import duties you may have to pay.

PS. Orders to Isle of Man have UK VAT applied in the normal way.

The Superior Labor Tochigi Leather A5 Notebook Cover

Handmade in Japan, this A5 leather notebook cover is made from Tochigi Oil Leather, a vegetable-tanned natural cowhide infused with oil for a supple, flexible feel. The leather is given minimal surface treatment, so the raw grain and natural marks show through, and it develops a deeper patina with every use.

Size (closed): L16.5cm × H22.5cm

Please note:

The leather is natural leather, with individual differences in colour, thickness and texture; natural scratches and wrinkles are part of the character of the material. Please be careful of stains and colour transfer when wet.

The Superior Labor was founded in 2007 by Makoto Kawai, a master of leatherwork and vintage clothing. The workshop at Nap Village was established in 2012, high in the Okayama mountains, where a small team cuts and sews every piece by hand.

The quality of materials and superb craftsmanship are what sets TSL apart. Paraffin-coated canvas, Tochigi and glove leather, and solid brass hardware are all chosen to wear in rather than wear out.

Our range covers the stationery side of what they make: pen cases and pen rolls, A5 and A6 notebook covers, zip organisers, canvas and leather pouches, and the Engineer and Mission Case bags, alongside brass charms and clips. New collections are released twice a year and are usually offered here as a pre-order before they land.
